childbirth classes are personalized for you
I love teaching private in-home childbirth classes because we can get deeper into your goals and questions. The class can focus on entirely on your needs, preferences, and concerns. We cover physiological and intervention birth, whether we’re planning to give birth at home or the hospital. We’ll cover the potential tools you might encounter so you’ll be aware and educated in the event that you would need them.
We use our BRAIN accronym for each one so we’ll review the Benefits, Risks, Alternatives, Intuition, and Next steps. Learning about these topics in a low pressure environment can help reduce the fear of the unknown as you get closer to going into labor and giving birth.
Also, I’ve been attending births in the surrounding hospital monopoly for almost a decade. I’ve worked at the location you’re giving birth at and there’s a chance I’ve worked a birth with your OBGYN or midwife before and can share stories of what I’ve witnessed.
My goal for childbirth education is to help you reach YOUR goals, whatever they may be.
We can practice the different movements and massages and jiggling and squeezing in the comfort and privacy of your own home. It’s a great way to envision yourself in labor. What labor during the different phases might look like. Uses your home and the belongings you already have as tools. The different considerations of where you might place the birth tub. Maybe some additional tools you can get so you’ll have on hand for your birth team to best support you. Private in-home childbirth classes are highly personalized and catered to you. We’ll take the pace that you need. Slowing down and giving the space to have more in-depth conversations about topics that you’re most interested in learning more about and breeze through the topics that you’re less interested in learning.
We’ll schedule the childbirth classes during a time that’s convenient for your schedule, too. These classes are perfect for busy parents, experienced parents, or you’ve “waited too late to start learning” parents.
My childbirth classes are the perfect recipe for more confidence, less fear, and better birth outcomes.
